Fonterra Future Dairy, a joint venture between Fonterra Co-operative Group and Future Consumer, has tied up with Schreiber Dynamix Dairies, a contract manufacturer for processing its dairy products, based in Baramati, near Pune.
Fonterra is planning to enter western market with its products early July 2019, and target a pan-India launch over a period of time.
Fonterra works with over 450,000 farmers and processes 45,000 ltr of milk daily. It has set up a demonstration farm in Sri Lanka.
The company plans to proceed on the distribution network established by the Future Group.
The company expects its revenue from dairy products to grow to Rs 6,000 crore from Rs 800 crore in seven years.
